Hey my loves! I know, I am very sorry as I am not up to date with my posts on the blog! I am still posting about Amsterdam when I actually went to London after it and also attended a few other events in between… I swear, I am trying to get a better organisation in my posting schedule! I am actually always caught by the time as I want to do 20 things at the same time and end to do the half of them… I mean nobody tell me “how to be a good blogger”… I am just doing it the way I feel which is probably not always the best!
There is this things about blogging that I love the most, is that most of the time… everything you do is very spontaneous and freestyle. I mean there is no rules, no obligations and you can honestly just do it the way you want! I mean… that’s my blog right? But what are the rules of blogging? How many times a week do you have to post? What do you have to write in your post?
Answers? I have no answer to give you and nobody will never give you the right answer to this because there is no right/wrong way to do. I personally try to post as much as I can while keeping a healthy and needed social life (friends & family) next to my blogging life. For me this is the key of my happiness. I also prefer to stay more “spontaneous” with you and write my article the day before posting it. Most of the time, my article are publish around 7am as I write them late at night and schedule them for the next morning (yes.. it’s 1:10am right now!). The things I am saying in my article are sometimes personal, sometimes randoms and sometimes informatives. I love sharing with you what I did and my feeling about it and I love sharing what I learn during those amazing experiences.
Stay authentic. For me, most important things to do as a blogger is : Do it the way YOU want. Having a blog is something very personal. For some fashion blogger, it sounds like a personal diary, for some others, it is a way to share their knowledge. Some write in a very formal way when some others (like me) prefer to write to way they talk in life – Yes, my french (english) isn’t perfect – sorry! But don’t forget that blogger are not journalists or writers. I am Alison, this girl who love burgers – don’t go to sport – hate reading books but loves history. I love luxury brands but can’t afford them – I go to H&M and I am not ashamed. And you? who are you?
Organisation is the key. Can you imagine that being a blogger, is actually organising yourself every single day? This is not always as easy as you may think. The proof is that, I’ve got a few “last minute” travels this months and all my organisation fucked up…see… I am showing you pictures of Amsterdam which take place more than 2 weeks ago!
Focus on your things. Comparing yourself to other is something very easy to do but it will actually not help you at all. Comparing the way you do with other can inspire you but you can also loose you. Always remember, why did you start blogging? How do you like to write? What do you want to share? And my advice is : Stop looking at what people do – Instead – be focus on you and what you are going to do.

It’s so true what you said about staying authentic. This is also one reason why I love your posts, you’re always very sincere and I really like your attitude. 🙂 And don’t worry about your schedule worries – I have the same problems 🙂

Thank you for your comment Carmen,
happy to read that I’m not alone to have some scheduling problem^^
much love, Alison
I think there’s not a one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to blogging advice because we all do our own thing and what works for one blogger doesn’t work for another. We’re all unique and we all need to find out own way to handle things. But organization is always important, no matter what. As is staying true to who you are and keeping things real, especially as a blogger!
Very true! that’s exactly what I was trying to say!
hope to see you soon, xx
Alison
